Zermatt is located in the south of Switzerland at an elevation of 1600 m and only a few hours from the international airports in Zurich, Geneva and Milan. Zermatt can easily be reached from the West, the North and the South:

In Brig you will have to switch trains from the bigger national railroad to the smaller BVZ Zermatt-Bahn, which will transport you in an hour-and-a-half journey through the very mountainous and romantic valley to Zermatt.

Should you arrive by car the well-developed road gives you access to Taesch (4.8 kilometers from Zermatt). In Taesch parking garages and public parking areas are available.
